travel Insurance

Explore our wide range of travel insurance options designed to fit every trip, budget, and traveler.

Emergency Medical/Health Insurance

Emergency Medical and Health Insurance covers you for unexpected medical costs, hospital stays, ambuance services, accidental injury or illness and beyond.

Trip Cancellation Insurance

Reimburses prepaid, non-refundable expenses if you must cancel your trip before departure due to a covered reason such as:

  • Sudden Illness or injury
  • Death of  a family member
  • Family emergency
  • Involuntary job loss
  • Natural disaster
  • or other covered emergencies
*Eligibility for trip cancellation coverage is time sensitive.  Coverage must generally be purchased within a specified number of days (as determined by your policy) from the date of your initial trip payment.  Purchases made outside this timeframe may limit or exclude cancellation benefits.

Trip Interruption Insurance

Provides reimbursement for unused portions of your trip or additional transportation costs  if your trip is interrupted after departure for a covered reason such as:

  • You become ill or injured and need to come home early
  • You need to return home unexpectedly for a covered reason that occurs during your trip, like the hospitalization of a family member
  • Your trip is delayed due to a covered event, and you incur extra costs like hotel stays, meals or transportation

Single or Multi-Trip Travel Insurance

Single trip Insurance:

The plan covers eligible emergency medical expenses for one trip outside of your home province or territory

  • Coverage begins on your date of your departure and ends on the date you return

 Who is it for:

  • This type of travel insurance can be a good fit if you are looking for emergency medical coverage for a one-time trip.

Multi-trip Travel Insurance:

Annual or multi-trip insurance is a single policy that covers you for multiple trips within a 12 month period, making it ideal for frequent travelers.

  • Instead of buying a new policy for each journey, one plan provides continuous protection for things like emergency medical expenses, trip cancellations, and lost baggage.
  • While there is no limit on the number of trips, there is usually a maximum number of days allowed per trip that must be selected when you purchase the plan
  • It can be more cost-effective than purchasing individual policies for each trip, offering flexibility to fit your travel habits
  • Provides peace of mind – so you don’t have to worry about buying insurance for each trip

Who is it for?

  • Anyone who plans to take more than one trip in a 12 month period
  • Ideal for frequent travelers
  • “Snowbirds” who spend winters away and may travel back and forth to their home province

What to consider?

  • Maximum trip duration: Your plan will have a per-trip day limit.  You must return to your home province to start the clock again for the next trip
  • Extending coverage:  If you want to stay away for long than your policy allows, you may be able to purchase a “top-up” for that specific trip

Tour Package Plan

The Tour Package Plan is uniquely designed to cover you for certain aspects of your trip and is the perfect option for any tour, cruise, or all-inclusive package.

Benefits include:

  • Travel Health Benefits
  • International Travel Assistance Service
  • Airfare and Holiday Cancellation Coverage

General Tips

  • Buy early:  Purchase travel insurance soon after booking your trip.  Some benefits (like trip cancellation coverage or for pre-existing conditions) are only available if you buy within a limited time after your first payment.
  • Know what’s covered: Read the policy wording carefully – not all events or reasons for cancellation are covered.
  • Keep documents handy:  Save digital and printed copies of your policy with the policy number, emergency contact info, and receipts for claims.
  • Declare everything: Always disclose pre-existing medical conditions or special circumstances to avoid claims denial later

Before You Travel

  • Understand coverage limits: Review your policy
  • Review Cancellation Terms: Know what qualifies as a covered reason for cancellation (e.g., illness, injury, severe weather, or natural disasters).

During Your Trip

  •  Contact the insurer right away in an emergency: They often have a 24/7 helpline to assist with hospitals, lost luggage, etc.
  • Keep Receipts and Reports:  If you need to make a claim, get written documentation, such as hospital receipts for example.

Insurance for every speed bump.
