Ryan Keown - Branch Manager
In his role as Branch Manager, Ryan enjoys meeting with clients to build customized insurance plans by providing solutions to fit their needs. Ryan is responsible for agency and marketing initiatives, client relations and staffing. Besides holding his Life/Accident and Sickness license, Ryan is General Insurance Level 3 licensed and has obtained his Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) Designation with honours. As well, in an effort to help serve and understand the needs of mature clients, Ryan has also achieved his Certified Professional Consultant on Aging designation.
Ryan is very excited to have moved back to Roblin to raise his family in the same town that he was raised. “I am excited each day to meet the challenges and strive to meet our clients’ needs through the services provided by NorthStar Insurance & Real Estate. I am confident presenting our products to my family, friends and new clients alike that are trustworthy, proven and true. Ken Jakeman - Real Estate Sales
With over 30 years in the Real Estate business and founder of Jakeman Real Estate (now a part of NorthStar Insurance & Real Estate), Ken has a vast working knowledge of the entire trading area and has excellent contacts in the community and beyond. Ken enjoys personal contact with customers and with the entire community. In his current role as Real Estate Broker, can assist in delivery and acceptance of offers, listings and appraisals.
Karen Goraluk - Real Estate Sales
Although she lives in Inglis MB, Karen can be seen throughout the entire region ranging from Grandview to Russell, from Roblin to Rossburn! Karen has a great personality and is well respected. Her patient and optimistic attitude really makes everyone feel comfortable dealing with her. She is very dedicated in her role as Real Estate Salesperson and will strive to make the transaction as positive for the Seller as for the Buyer. Megan Leflar - Sales Associate
Megan specializes in the administration of Home and Farm Insurance products. She reviews information for each policyholder and supports the office with any policy changes that are required. Megan’s caring personality makes her a pleasure to deal with, and all clients feel comfortable to ask her questions about their policies. Megan’s main focus is to meet with clients to review the insurance they currently have, as well as offer suggestions on how they can better protect themselves in the most cost-effective manner. Megan is General Insurance Level 2 licensed and is the Key Autopac Person (KAP) for NorthStar Insurance & Real Estate.
JoAnn Zimmer - Sales Associate
JoAnn joined NorthStar Insurance & Real Estate after spending years in the health care field. It was it was in this line of work where JoAnn learned the importance that one person can make in someone’s life . Her more recent role as a customer service representative in the financial sector has also been a huge benefit to the agency.
Currently, as the Agency contact representative, JoAnn is making a difference by fulfilling the important function of communicating with clients to arrange yearly reviews of their insurance coverage with their broker. JoAnn has her Level 1 license and acts as a liason for the Agency when arranging meetings for new insurance business, communicates special offers to existing clients and offers a warm greeting to everyone that comes to our agency.
Melissa Moffit - Sales Associate
Beginning her career in 2005, Melissa has worked hard through intense training and continuing study to achieve her General Insurance Level 2 license. Melissa has the knowledge base to provide our clients with auto, travel, home, farm and commercial insurance products. Her friendly smile and welcoming personality makes her a natural when relating to our clients and their specific needs.
Claudette Brook - Sales Associate
Claudette and her husband, Gerald, who is now enjoying retirement, have been in the insurance business since 1981. Therefore, with over 30 years of experience, Claudette plays a vital role and is extremely resourceful to clients and staff alike.
Claudette has stayed on since the sale of Jakeman Brook Brown and is helping with the business transition from Parkland Insurance to NorthStar Insurance & Real Estate. Currently, as Sales Associate, Claudette has her Level 2 license and helps to gather information from client’s and offer customized solutions to match your personal needs in auto, residential, farm and travel insurance. She is a familiar face and an important part of our new business model.
Brent Beerman - Sales Associate
Brent successfully completed his Auto Technical Insurance course and assists clients with their Autopac and Vehicle/Driver Licensing coverages. His previous entrepreneurial experience is a huge asset to the agency. Brent prides himself on providing sound, practical advice to ensure an exceptional customer service experience.
Gwen Becker - Sales Associate
In Gwen’s current role of Administrative Assistant, she provides administrative and accounting expertise to the agency. Gwen is an important “behind the scenes” employee that works diligently to ensure that all transactions and billings are recorded in a timely and accurate fashion.
